Two warlord chiefs, a ton-fa wielder who can destroy an opponents weapon and a Tai Chi expert that is impervious to weapons, send a pair of killers to track down and kill an old master swordsman who has given up fighting. When the killers assassination attempt is foiled by a group of kung fu students from a nearby school, the chiefs themselves come to the school to deal with the master swordsman and anyone else who gets in their way. When the schools head master dies defending the swordsman and his daughter, the schools 3 most senior students vow to avenge the deaths and begins a quest to annihilate the warlord chiefs. One by one, they end up facing a man so skilled in tai chi kung fu that it seems as if he were 'Born Invincible'.

The Ghost-Face Killer, played by Mark Long, runs havoc across the land, searching out and challenging a string of kung-fu masters, overwhelming them with his superior five elements style in many amazing fights throughout the film. Lee Yi Min meets up with the kung-fu and chess master played by Jack Long, a kung-fu master in hiding from the Ghost-Face Killer, who agrees to teach Min the five elements kung fu style and combines them with the art of chess boxing so Min can help him fight the Ghost-Face Killer. The big finale, where Ghost-Face Killer first fights Jack Long, then Lee Yi Min and finally both of them, is long, elaborate and most of all, great fun.

The movie begins with an explanation of two specific Kung Fu techniques – Iron Armour and The Eagle Claw. To become a master of the art of Iron Armor, one must master their breathing pressure and air circulation throughout their body. Only then can they achieve the ability to withstand any blow, including stabbings from swords or spears. The practitioner of Iron Armour is almost completely invulnerable to any attack. However, there is always one unprotected point that must be guarded by the practitioner. The Eagle Claw is a fighting style that concentrates on bones, sinew, muscles and joints. Much of the Eagle Claw practitioner’s strength lies within his hands and fingers. He can literally break bone with a single strike. Of course, we have an idea that these two techniques will be very important in the rest of the movie, but the reason why they are so important doesn’t materialize until much later.
